The goals were to gain rights for african americans. They wanted to be able to get equal jobs. They wanted to get PROPER civil rights. They wanted to get equal education. Most of all they wanted to be treated like they were equal. Those were the goals of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

There were several goals in the Civil Rights Act of 1964. One goal was to allow African Americans to have equal registration to vote. Next, African Americans could no longer be banned from public places. Furthermore, all Americans couldn't be discriminated from getting a job just because of their skin color, race, sex, or nationality. Lastly, the Civil Rights Act encouraged, not forced, the desegregation of public schools. The Civil Rights Act had many goals, and after time most of them were achieved.

The main goasl were to be treted equally like everyone else. They wanted to be able to vote, be abe to go placeswithout being questioned, and just freedom overall.

The goals of the cicil rights movement were simple. A big percentage of African Americans lived in poverty. This is because they were denied good jobs and theredore couldn't produce sufficient income. The civil rights leaders wanted to change this. Also the blacks were not admitted into white schools. The white schools always ended up being better than the black schools. The third goal was to achive voting rights. Even though the african americans were citizens of the country the other americans did their best to prevent the african americans for voting.

I think that the goals of the civil rights movement were good ones. African Americans, in my mind, are equal to white americans. Still some whites were still not able to accept this. That is just not right. It effected the treatment of African Americans. Not-surprisingly one thing led to another and bad things happened to the blacks. They were not allowed to recieve proper education or proper jobs. This kept them from becoming sucessful. Most couldn't vote. To me this is like saying that you don't get to have a say in this country. Then the African Americans had to fight back. That is natural. Those are the goals of the civil rights movement.

The goals of the Civil Rights Act helped African Americans tremdously because they provided opportunities that African Americans didn't have before. One example, being able to vote was a major improvement. This act furthered the progression of civil rights, and gave hope to other minorites and groups that change was possible.
